Description

How we move around our neighbourhood, city or country is changing, and sometimes not for the better. One fifth of Australia's greenhouse gas emissions come from the transport sector, and private automobiles make up nearly half of these.

The solution to emissions-free transport will be a combination of prevention and cure; prevention through better city planning and more efficient use mass transit, and cure through the electrification of private passenger transport options.

Dr Chris Jones from the Australian Electric Vehicle Association will explain how anything that can be moved, can be moved with electricity - we just need to put the effort where it's most effective.

This free workshop is for anyone curious to learn more about e-vehicles and how they can make positive steps to reduce their impact on the environment.

Registration for this event is essential - please follow this link to register with the Town of Victoria Park.
