Special Event

On the 7th of November we are having an EV muster in the wheatbelt at Dowerin which is 157km from Perth. The event will be held at the Dowerin Field Day site.

We will be assembling a large gathering of EVs to promote EV charging - the event was created by Jon Edwards whose goal of placing Biofil chargers across the Nullabor is the  primary reason the event is taking place. We hope to get a large group photo and drone video around midday for media.

There will be decision makers present and decisions about the lack of  chargers on the Nullabor will be influenced by the gathering of EVs in Dowerin. We would love to have your support.

Multiple organisations including  AEVA, TOCA, TOCWA, TeslaWA Slack and EV Meets will be represented at the event. Jon will be bringing along a BioFil - a fast charger powered by veg oil and there are  many 3 Phase sockets around the town. Charging on BioFil will start at 11am and continue for as long as neccesary.

We will also have a number of 3phase adapters and EVSE if you require one to charge your cars for a top up to get back to Perth if it is neccessary. Short range cars will be prioritised but nobody will be left uncharged.

We hope to see you there , please email me on secretary@wa.aeva.asn.au or call on 0416345575 to register your interest and discuss details.

Supported Event

On Sunday the 7th of November, Mosman Park Men’s Shed will be hosting our very popular Mosman Craft Market.

This annual Market attracts an amazing selection of West Australian
produced crafts, special attractions and useful items for every taste and budget. It is also conveniently timed, being close to Christmas and thus able to solve some of those difficult present problems! The Market is a CovidSafe event. Families will be well catered for with a variety of food from various outlets including, of course, the fabled Men’s Shed BBQ or the Shed Café for a Devonshire tea. Children will be able to enjoy a Bouncy Castle, Face Painting, the Swan Valley Cuddly Animal Farm and Pony rides. Four musical groups will provide continuous live entertainment including the Mighty Camelot Choir - enjoy the ambience whilst dining out on some of the Shed’s delicacies!

A vehicle display spanning the ages will be on, with vintage cars and bikes sharing the stage with today's Electric Vehicles (including conversions).  Get in touch with Dave Russell if you would like to display your EV at the Craft Market - drussellhome@westnet.com.au

The usual Raffle with fabulous prizes, Garden Sales (cheaper than Bunnings) and Pilates in the Park, from Featherstone, (bring your own towel and mat) starting at 10.30. Furthermore, some new attractions this year include a special Photo Booth, and the fire services will bring their Big Fire Engine which we are sure the kids will love. Local Community Groups have also been invited to join in the fun on the day and will showcase life in Mosman Park.

The Craft Market is being held on Sunday 7th of November at Tom Perrott Oval, McCabe Street, Mosman Park, WA 6012. Gates open 9:30am – 2:30pm. Come tour the Men’s Shed including our recently acquired woodwork machinery and see some of the fabulous items produced by the Members.
