Social Activity

Evie Networks' ultra-rapid charging site in Campbell Town will soon be opening - and it's also the five year anniversary of the AEVA Tasmanian branch's launch.  We would love to see electric vehicles from across Tasmania gather in the middle of our state to celebrate both of these events!

Come and meet at the Commonwealth Lane Car Park at 11am, check out the new ultra-rapid chargers, followed by lunch at The Grange just next door.

Please note due to lunch being catered, booking and payment is required for this event.  Registering in advance is essential so we can provide number of attendees to the caterer.

  • $20 pp - AEVA members
  • $30 pp - non-members

Note on charging etiquette - there are two charging units available, and obviously there could be dozens of EVs arriving on this day.  If you are able to top up on the way to minimise the demand at the Campbell Town site, please do so.  If charging at Campbell Town, please ensure you move your car once you have charged sufficiently!

Special Event

Experience a ride in an electric vehicle, talk to owners and find out what it is like to own an EV.  Ask about anything from charging, trips, self-driving technology, differences, bonuses and benefits.

EVs are not just cars.  There will be displays of motorbikes, scooters and e-bikes and information on a wide range of EVs and electric mobility.

* Sign up for a ride on the day with the organisers.  Rides will be prioritised on a first-come, first-served basis with allowance given for preference of vehicle.  If any time slots are not filled last names taken for rides will be at 2.30pm.

* AEVA ACT maintains hygiene standards with hand santiser provided and surfaces wiped between each ride.  Each driver reserves the right to refuse entry to their car for any reason, especially to persons who are unwell.
