I am Leslie Smith, Director of the Queensland Branch of the Australian Electric Vehicle Association.
I have included information on the committee positions that will be vacated at the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 21/8/2024 @ 7:30pm.
I encourage anyone with time to please consider nominating for a position on the committee. Please don't be discouraged by lack of experience, help is always available from old committee members.
Please don't hesitate to email the Secretary secretary@qld.aeva.asn.au if you have any questions about nominating for a committee position.
- Chairing meetings.
- Helping the committee to work together as a team.
- Having an overview of the work of the group.
- Being the main contact person for the group.
- Taking minutes at the committee and general meetings.
- Keeping people informed about the organisation’s activities.
- Receiving and responding to information, emails and letters.
- Keeping financial records for the group.
- Keeping the group informed of their financial situation
- Usually appointed for special projects or campaigns
- Backup for other committee members (e.g. attending meetings / helping out)
- Represents the views of the Branch Committee at meetings of the National Board
- Attend monthly meetings via Zoom
