In the lead-up to the election, come along to this special AEVA public forum with election candidates about EV policy in the ACT. What is needed to decarbonise transport in the ACT? Is everyone on board with this idea? What do we need to do to continue the strong growth of EVs in Canberra and what do we need to do to prepare for the future?
Come and hear what the candidates think about EVs and plan to do!

3. September Presentation
At our September monthly meeting (and AGM) we are fortunate to have David Glynne Jones do an abridged version of his presentation on Transport Electrification which is part of his Energy Transition series.
David is an independent advocate for the adoption of renewable energy and electrification across all sectors of the Australian economy.

4. AGM
As normal at our AGM, ALL committee positons are spilled so now is your opportunity to nominate for a committee position.  It can be very rewarding experience being part of the committee and not too onerous as the National board carries most of the heavy lifting.  Committee position duties are listed here https://aeva.asn.au/files/3387/ and any questions about being a member of the Committee can be directed to me at secretary@act.aeva.asn.au in the first instance. Nominations can be emailed to secretary@act.aeva.asn.au prior to the AGM or you can nominate in person at the AGM.

5. Director nominations
Our current Director, Jude Burdger, was appointed at the formation of
AEVA Pty Ltd (the Company) to serve for a term of one, two or three
years, depending on the board's initiation of a three year rotating
term basis. Jude has dutifully served us for her allocated term and is
now stepping down from the board.  A new director is now sought for
the ACT branch.

I now call for emailed nominations, in writing and signed by the
Member that nominated them, for a Director to represent the ACT Branch
on the AEVA Board. Nominations close 1st September 2024.
