Motorbike ride wins Glen George Trophy
The Glen George Trophy for travel to Fully Charged Live has been won by Steve Fuery, riding his Zero DSR electric motorcycle.
Steve rode from Ryanston in West Gippsland (north of Wonthaggi), travelling a total of 1177 km.
The runner-up was Trevor Richards, driving his "T-Rev" unique construction from Kuttabul, Queensland. Third place went to Hunter and Trudy Murray, driving their Tesla Model S from Desert Spring, NT.
Both Trevor (2025 km) and the Murrays (2918 km) travelled further than Steve, but Steve scored more points because of his 14.4 kWh battery.
Thanks also to Bryce Gaton and Simon Hicks for competing for the Trophy.
The Trophy was presented by Robert Llewellyn, founder of Fully Charged, at the AEVA stall in the exhibition area on the Saturday afternoon. Robert gave a lively speech in which he congratulated the winner and runner-up.
