Zero Emissions EVenture (postponed)

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO A DATE TO BE DETERMINED AFTER THE LOCKDOWN IN THE ACT IS LIFTED

The Zero Emissions EVenture is a “community celebration of electrified transport” in Canberra. Participants, in teams, will traverse a course using only electric powered transport or walking. Multiple modes of electrified transport will be employed, including cars, buses, light rail, scooters, bikes and Go Boats.

The event will reinforce, to the Canberra community, the importance of electrified travel in driving down greenhouse emissions, and other emissions which impact public health.

The EVenture will be limited to 96 participants, mostly in teams of up to four members.

At the beginning of each leg (other than the first leg) teams will use a QR code which will open an "information and challenge" page (managed as a Google Form).  This page will contain (a) some information about the mode of transport that they are about to use; (b) one or two multiple choice quiz questions, which the team will be asked to answer; and (c) some further reading about the zero emissions implications of that mode of transport.

The registration of teams, and information about the conditions for teams, is being managed by this Eventbrite page.  This AEVA event page will manage the roster for volunteers, in the roles of drivers or marshals.
